Touring South Western Costa Rica

We did a little touring through south western Costa Rica. We left Panama and took a bus to Nelly. From there we took a bus to Golfito and got on a ferry to take us across the Gulfo Dulce to Puerto Jimamez on the Osa Penisila. There were nice beaches and others weird things including kids playing on the airport run way and chickens running around in the graveyard. Erin loved it!

Tour to Panama to Get a Cup of coffee!

We took a bus south to Panama. Erin told me that there was really really good coffee in a small town called Boqutte. I love coffee so the 7 hour trek was well worth it.

Waterfalls and Lizards

Here is a couple more pictures. The 1st is Erin, Mom and Suz at the waterfall at the farm. The next is a little bar that where we stopped to dry off. Erin took us for a two hour hike to see some lizards in the pouring rain. Carzy would love it. The last is my friend tom the lizard. He stayed on our table for the week.

A Scary Discovery

We went to a bar in Dominical to have a drink, It had broken surfboards all over the roof. If you broke yours riding a wave, you could bring it in and they would hang it up for you. I took a lot of pictures but none of them turned out...

Then I took a picture of this Elvis shrine they had. I think we found the king.... Hiding out with all the dead surfers in paradise.

Look how scared Erin is! She is very tuned into these types of things.

Bugs...

Got close and personal to to a couple bugs.

A Couple Pics from Down South

Here are a couple pictures from the first few days down here in Costa Rica. The place is beautiful but it rains and rains and rains. I think we have seen two hours of sunlight in the last three days. Oh well, there are crazy looking frogs and lizards all over, Carzy would love it.

The Mother Ship

A little slice of paradise. This is where Mom and I stayed for the 1st week. From the hammock you could see the lush rain forests and the ocean. This is really hard living. Too bad the termintes love to eat wooden houses down here....

The Mullet.

A weekend in Peterborough for Head of the Trent led to this beauty inspiration

The Tree Truck

Nothing like a little maple on your mazda.

After about $5000 it looks really pretty again. Good ol' insurance.
